The « Internets » strike again!
Today’s excellent NY Times front story about newsmedia military « analysts » controlled by the Pentagon is a must-read.
But here’s a geeky angle to the story. Something that passed very fast on the screen when I watched the multimedia presentation related to the NYT article.
It seems like the « Internets » have also affected Donald Rumsfeld, following the famous precedent set by his boss. Even years after it was ridiculed all around the Internet(s) and on many late-night shows — Bush himself used the term at least twice, in two electoral campaigns.
Click on the image to see the full-size capture of the section of Page 19 of Secretary Rumsfeld’s meeting with the « military analysts » from diverse news networks, on April 18, 2006.
As you can see, Rumsfeld doesn’t only complain the Pentagon PR is now facing a « different world » but he also specifically names the culprits: Internets and Sony cams!
